About me
I’m a Perth based artist working from a home studio in Highgate, where I paint, draw, stage performative photographs, and make 3d textiles & sculptures.
In my work, I’m interested in the intimate exploration of wild nature through story, imaginations, and memory, as a way to explore our own wild natures.
I graduated with a Fine Art Degree from Curtin University in WA in 2006.
I work as an Arts Facilitator both privately, and for various Arts and Community organisations. Some of these include Mixed Palette Inc, Fremantle Arts Centre, Minnawarra House, My Place, Perth City Farm, and Juluwarlu Art Group.
I facilitate classes in painting, drawing, collage, textiles, sculpture, zine making, print-making, sewing, and whatever else I discover as I go.
My teaching philosophy is one that encourages playful exploration of materials, techniques and expression of self through art.
I’m experienced working with people of all ages and abilities, and am currently learning Auslan at TAFE.
